I compiled an excel spreadsheet for testing and selection tool. It follows the equations shown in the players hadbook.
Custom ability score distribution system has 27 points that player can use as currency. Ability scores between 8-15 have their point price. Modifiers derived from ability scores are quantified so that optimization is possible. Races have their modifier additions and these give also a possibility for optimization.
The Excel file is in xlsx-format. Grey area are input fields that are controllable via mouse click. Keyboard input is needed when Human variant is in use and the Human variant -column becomes greyed. Then you can input the two +1´s where pleased. Calculator is distributed as is and without ny warranties.
